Most folks will

produces will either be used directly by your appliances or the

Lets say that your air conditioner consumes 780 kilowatt
hours per month and you use it for 4 months out of the year. 780
times 4 months is 3120 kilowatt hours consumed per year.
In this example, you would be producing 99.2 percent of the
power that your air conditioning system would need to run for
the year. Of course your result will vary depending upon the
size of your air conditioner, the number of hours per day and
the number of days per year that you run your unit, but you can see
how easily the savings can stack up.
And if you happen to have a year when your air conditioner
use is down, well then your credits are used by your other
appliances. Either way the bottom line is that you will reduce
what you pay per year for your electricity and over time your
solar system will pay for itself !
